Jean-Marie Bonthous has advised corporate, civic, government and non-profit leaders in the areas of strategic communications, reputation management, business transformation and scenario-planning for more than thirty years.

He is founder and principal of BrightMagnet, a boutique consultancy advising leaders on how to make the most of the opportunities created by changes in the global marketplace. Whether the client organization needs to clarify its identity and industry position, rebuild trust capital, build closer relationships with customers or foster large-scale change and engagement among employees, the firm offers effective, innovative solutions.

Mr. Bonthous is also a founding member and CMO of www.creopoint.com, the leading online forum for commercial real estate professionals worldwide.

He has partnered with leaders on consulting engagements in more than 25 countries including China, India, Australia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Brazil and Argentina, Mozambique, and many countries in Europe. He has developed a particular industry expertise with gas, electric and water utility companies, non-alcoholic beverage companies, as well as commercial real estate and global non-profit organizations.

Mr. Bonthous holds a PhD in management from the University of Paris, France, and has published two books on business intelligence as well numerous articles in professional journals on topics ranging from action learning to the influence of national culture on organizational cognition.

He has been invited to speak at many industry conferences, including HP World, ERP World and Americas’ SAP Users Groups (ASUG), addressing such topics as IT-enabled business transformation and culture change.

Mr. Bonthous has also lectured at the Stern School of Business at New York University about culture change, competitive strategies, scenario-planning and business transformation.

In the 80s, at the International Film and TV Festival of New York, he won the Grand Award, the highest distinction, and two Gold Medals, for a series of PR films produced to build brand equity for several Fortune 100 companies, including Coca-Cola.
